Pierre Cardin, the futurist-geometric mid-century modern fashion designer, died today at age 98. He launched his couture house in the 1950s to later revolutionizing the fashion market, style, and business. The documentary “House of Cardin”, the only one he allowed, was made by two Palm Springs filmmakers, Ebersole & Hughes, and was previewed at the PS film festival earlier in January, and released later in 2020. He was honored with a star on the Palm Springs walk of fame earlier this year. RIP.
